Content Markup for AI Discoverability

To optimize your Sitefinity content for AI, you can now implement structured data markup (Schema.org compliant) in Sitefinity CMS. This capability enables the use of standardized vocabulary in the page details view for content items, as well as directly within pages. By providing explicit machine-readable data, you clearly define what your content represents, who it is intended for, and how key entities relate to one another. This makes it easier for AI retrieval systems and search engines to accurately interpret and process your website content. More advantages of implementing structured content markup:

  • Improved semantic discoverability - Structured data helps AI retrieval systems and search engines better interpret content entities, relationships, and context, supporting stronger SEO and GEO alignment.

  • Higher credibility and trust - Explicitly defined authorship, publication details, organizations, and content types may increase credibility signals used by AI systems when selecting sources.

  • Future-proof content strategy - Machine-readable data helps ensure your content remains accessible and adaptable to evolving AI-powered discovery systems.

What's fixed

  • Dynamic Modules: Setting permissions per field, when LDAP is configured, causes Sitefinity to become unresponsive (578807)

  • List items cannot have a title that ends with period (581485)

  • Mailchimp connector: Cannot disconnect forms from Mailchimp forms (581278)

  • Rich-Text Editor loses image link URL upon editing (567945)

  • Custom font added for the Dirham symbol (580956)

  • Dashboard does not load or work when used in sub-application mode (3rd or 4th level) (581703)

  • Media/Documents: The approval workflow is skipped in some cases (578293)

  • Sitefinity AI Assistant: Accessibility frontend improvements (579722)

  • Sitefinity AI Assistant: Frontend texts are localized to the current site language in SAIA, including date (579588)

  • Sitefinity AI Assistant: Fixed issue with special characters in file name, preventing the use of images for customizing SAIA frontend (582558)

  • Pages: Child pages are not indented correctly when the parent page is expanded (582697)

Known issues

  • Progress Agentic RAG Connector: Permissions filtering based on the current user is not supported at this time. The initial data push will not include items with restrictive permissions (not accessible for everyone). Changing items with permissions will not push them to the Agentic RAG connector. If an item is pushed to the Agentic RAG connector and you want to restrict it at a later point in time, make sure to re-publish it, so the item is removed from the Agentic RAG connector. Also, if a permission is changed on a global level (for a parent item or content type), you need to re-publish all affected items or re-send this content to Agentic RAG connector to get the items updated.
