      Progress goes public on NASDAQ (PRGS)

    2. 1997

      Progress acquires tools for developing Java-based applications

    1. 2003

      Progress acquires DataDirect data connectivity tools

    2. 2004

      Progress re-architected and rebranded as OpenEdge

    3. 2008

      Progress strengthens support for standards-based data access

    1. 2011

      Progress acquires Corticon, introduces OpenEdge 11: first multi-tenant database for the cloud

      Progress acquires Rollbase

    1. 2014

      Progress makes two strategic acquisitions: BravePoint, an OpenEdge service partner, and Telerik, adding UI frameworks and app development tools and services

      Progress strengthens its cognitive-first strategy with the acquisition of DataRPM, the best-of-breed machine learning company focused on cognitive predictive maintenance, and Kinvey—the leader in backend as a service (BaaS) technology

      Progress unveils NativeChat, an AI-driven platform for creating and deploying chatbots for transactional use cases, launches Progress Labs, a technology incubator dedicated to bringing groundbreaking ideas to life and sponsors ProgressNEXT, an international gathering of Progress customers and partners with a common goal—delivering the next generation of business applications
