What does it mean that a specific Sitefinity will reach end-of-life?

• Support Termination. After the EOL date, Progress will carry no obligation to support Sitefinity versions that have reached end of life. Sitefinity patches and updates for retired versions are made available only at Progress’ discretion, typically to address immediate critical security or integration issues.
