Sprint Update on April 24, 2026

What's new

External NuGet feed support

Projects with Developer Extensions enabled can now configure external NuGet package sources for their CI/CD build pipelines. This enables teams that depend on proprietary or third-party NuGet packages to include them seamlessly in the automated build process without manual workarounds.

Self-service Redis cache purge

The Cache Purge pipeline now supports flushing the Redis cache for a specific environment. Previously, clearing the Redis cache required a support request. Customers can now trigger this directly from the Pipelines section in their project.

Smarter automated upgrades with renderer compatibility checks

The automated upgrade pipeline now validates compatibility between the CMS and ASP.NET Core Renderer before upgrading. When a newer CMS version is not compatible with the current renderer version, the pipeline automatically resolves the highest CMS version that is compatible - using the official backward-compatibility matrix published by the Sitefinity product team. This prevents upgrade failures caused by version mismatches between the CMS backend and the decoupled renderer.

What's improved

  • Fixed cache purge operations intermittently failing with 403 errors, which could result in stale content after publishing updates.
  • Fixed CDN cache invalidation failing for media items with relative URLs.
  • Improved reliability of the failover recovery process to ensure consistent traffic routing after a failover event.
  • Improved application availability with automatic health monitoring and self-healing for Renderer deployments.
  • Enhanced storage security by requiring authentication for all storage access.
