When their Drupal-based website became difficult and costly to maintain and marketing relied heavily on IT for site updates, Corwin's team knew it was time to modernize their site for an improved user experience. Their goals were empowering marketing to manage website content without IT, migrating thousands of pages and content to avoid recreating manually and deploying reusable templates, widgets and automation to simplify updates and maintenance. The solution to achieving all that was to work with Visus LLC and use Progress Sitefinity CMS, so thousands of pages and content can be programmatically migrated using APIs. The integration with Corwin's product information management system, CRM and Kibo Commerce were key, along with enabling syncing of book data, services, author information, instituting a CDN and implementing HawkSearch for advanced search capabilities. The results: A modern website delivering a seamless search, browse and purchase experience for customers, a self-sufficient marketing staff and a seamless transition for both customers and staff to the new site.
