What is IDE?

An integrated development environment (IDE) is a suite of developer tools and facilities to write, test and compile code. The essential components of an IDE are typically a source code editor and libraries, as well as tools for building and testing. IDEs can be proprietary or open-source, web-based, cloud-based or mobile, multi-language or language-specific. Sitefinity VSIX is a Visual Studio extension based on the Sitefinity CLI.
