What's new

Securely store custom keys, passwords, certificates, and other secrets in Azure Key Vault

There is now an Azure Key Vault resource available to customers that helps solve the following problems:

  • Secrets Management - Azure Key Vault can be used to securely store and tightly control access to tokens, passwords, certificates, API keys, and other secrets.
  • Key Management - Azure Key Vault can be used as a Key Management solution that makes it easy to create and control the cryptographic keys used to encrypt your data.
  • Certificate Management - Azure Key Vault lets you easily provision, manage, and deploy public and private Transport Layer Security/Secure Sockets Layer (TLS/SSL) certificates for use with Azure and your internal connected resources.

Read/Write blob storage container for importing Database backups

We've added a new blob storage container where clients can upload .bacpac files to be restored to the cloud environments instead of using FTP. This will save initial setup time by reducing the number of downloads/uploads of the .bacpac file.

What's improved

  • Improved UI for Verified/Pending status in Domain management
  • Improved Multi-Region Failover and Disaster Recovery tools and processes
  • Improved installation of Progress.Sitefinity.AppInsights NuGet package which added unnecessary httpModules section in Web.config
  • Improved the Metrics Dashboard to show more relevant information with regards to the usage, reliability and health of the cloud infrastructure
