Based on customer feedback, we improved calculations and presentation of auto-discovered touchpoints. Auto-discovered touchpoints are exactly what they sound like - touchpoints that are automatically “discovered” by Insight for their high contributions to defined conversions, and are included in conversion reports.
Our improved touchpoint analytics engine now applies a number of filters to remove both less statistically significant (very low hit count) and trivial (very high correlation or a necessary condition for a conversion) calculated touchpoints. As a result, our tests demonstrated a higher level of relevance of discovered touchpoints, while generally reducing their total number.
The presentation and reporting of manually defined (“tracked”) touchpoints are not affected by these changes.
