In the Introduction to Progress OpenEdge Integration course, you learn about different ways to integrate a Progress OpenEdge ABL application with external non-Progress applications. First, you learn about different ways of exposing an ABL application to external applications. Then, you learn about the different ways in which your ABL application can access external applications. For each integration option, you learn about its runtime architecture and the high-level steps that an application developer must perform to implement it.

Prerequisites

You should already be familiar with:

  • OpenEdge components
  • OpenEdge process architecture
  • Familiar with technologies such as Web services, Restful State Transfer (REST), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and Java Message Service (JMS)
