An OEDK subscription has a version, which is the latest version of OpenEdge at the time. The latest version of OEDK is currently 12.x.
If the customer is under active subscription for earlier OEDK version the newer version will not be provided automatically. Customers will need to either Update or Upgrade their OEDK subscription plan.
If the change in the subscription plan is made without change to the plan expiry date, then this is considered an Update.
Otherwise, if the plan expiry date is changed, then this is treated as an Upgrade and, as with other Upgrades, requires a new 12-month subscription to be established for the total number of seats. Customers will receive credit for unused months of the original plan. Alternatively, customers could just wait until the renewal of their current subscription and Upgrade to the later version for no additional cost.
