A little over five years ago, DataRPM was no more than three friends talking on a plane about how data science and machine learning could be democratized so that businesses could act on data insights of any size, format and scale in real time, rather than engaging in the laborious process of actually analyzing it.

Fast forward to now and, well, what a journey it’s been. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and we hope we have helped our clients to learn things, too. From humble beginnings, we now find ourselves being acquired by Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS), the leading provider of application development and deployment technologies.

Since our inception, we have watched the company grow to serve the world’s biggest and best companies like GE, Jaguar Land Rover, and Cisco. We have built a reputation for delivering high-value predictive maintenance solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) saving our clients’ money, time, and generating increased productivity and yield.

DataRPM will continue to deliver Cognitive Predictive Maintenance (CPdM) solutions to solve the very real challenges facing manufacturers today. Our continued focus will be to add value to our customers by reducing accidents, lowering maintenance costs, eliminating unplanned outages, using less energy, and maximizing yield. We will help you harness the massive amounts of time series machine-generated data of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), analyze it at scale, and translate it into actionable results delivering immediate value for our customers.

Progress’ clients can look forward to the ability to harness DataRPM’s expertise in building cognitive applications quickly and easily – democratizing machine learning and making it accessible to any organization. But this isn’t going to change our core values. What was once a conversation on a plane in 2012 will, by 2022, be a reality, with DataRPM as a market leader in a world where machine failure or downtime is a thing of the past because the technology exists to predict asset failure before it happens, every time.
