Deliver Secure SQL Access for Enterprise APIs: For Enterprise Architects and ISVs

IT needs a fast way to SQL-enable their internal API layer for business intelligence.

Organizations are investing heavily in API layers to control authentication and data access from one place. However, enterprise data teams can’t access this data from their favorite BI tools such as IBM Cognos, OBIEE, TIBCO or MicroStrategy without complex custom coding.

As companies adopt multiple analytical and data management tools, SQL access to the enterprise API layer (or data access layer) is crucial. The ideal solution enables you to quickly build real-time access to your API layer from popular BI tools, while taking advantage of centralized API management capabilities.

    Download the whitepaper to learn:

    • How to how to quickly integrate your internal API layer into leading tools such as Microsoft Excel, SAP BusinessObjects, IBM Cognos, Oracle Business Intelligence and others
    • What to look for in a connector SDK for delivering SQL clients (ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET and OLE-DB)

    Customer Success Stories

NetSuite needed application data connectivity demanded by existing customers and by the market at large. To solve this problem they leveraged the OpenAccess™ SDK for data connectivity supporting an extensive breadth of standards and implementations.

The Resource Network, which helps organizations develop business initiatives, needed to tie together diverse data from multiple on-premise or cloud-based applications. Leveraging DataDirect OpenAccess for Salesforce, any ODBC-compliant application was enabled to access data sources at in real time using SQL as the language.

UZ Leuven, one of Belgium’s largest hospitals, needed a efficient complex data migration from multiple sources to be shared across 200 applications and multiple facilities. Using Progress® DataDirect® OpenAccess their IT team was able to create a database emulation layer that made it possible to pre-configure and test database integration with DB2 on all 200 applications.
