Hybrid Data Pipeline On-Premises Release Notes

These release notes provide enhancements, changed behavior, and resolved issues for the On-Premises Connector. You can obtain version information using the Administrator Connectors API. See Obtaining information about On-Premises Connectors for details. In addition, version information can be obtained by opening the On-Premises Connector Configuration Tool and clicking the Version tab.

Resolved Issues

HDP-16348 JDBCVerificationTool used an incorrect JRE path

The JDBCVerificationTool referenced an outdated, hardcoded JRE location in its startup script that no longer exists in the current install layout, which could cause the tool to fail to launch.

HDP-14899 Arbitrary file write via Schema Map

The Schema Map property could be set to an arbitrary path on the host, allowing files to be written outside the connector’s intended directory, including protected system locations.

The On-Premises Connector now includes support for Java 25 LTS deployments.

HDP-16036 OPConfig Tool does not launch from opconfig.bat

Running opconfig.bat does not launch the OPConfig Tool successfully.

HDP-14499 Proxy connectivity failure due to local DNS resolution in DNS-less environments

The On-Premises Connector status tests failed when using a proxy in environments without external DNS, as the connector attempted local DNS resolution, causing connectivity issues.

Enhancements

Kerberos for SQL Server

The On-Premises Connector now supports Kerberos authentication for SQL Server connections. The On-Premises Connector must be configured for SQL Server Kerberos during installation. For details, refer to Kerberos authentication for Microsoft SQL Server.

Apache Tomcat Upgrade

The Apache Tomcat server used to support the operation of the On-Premises Connector has been upgraded from version 9.0.107 to version 11.0.10.
