Self-Hosted Agent Activity ?Self-hosted agents These agents are lightweight executables installed on modern Windows or Linux servers. They support transfers between local and public endpoints and can reach private systems, local directories, internal network shares, or endpoints behind your firewall. Use self-hosted agents when workflows need on-premises applications, internal file shares, restricted networks, or data that should remain in a specific environment.

Tasks and agents
?Self-hosted task runs count each task run started and coordinated by Automate MFT. You provide the agent and execution infrastructure. Consumes 1 capacity unit per task run.
?Agents needed Self-hosted agents do not consume capacity units. Depending on how many agents you need, additional agent packages may be required to meet your needs.
Files transferred ?Self-hosted file transfers count files uploaded or downloaded. If the totals differ, the higher number is used. Data volume does not affect usage. Consumes 0.05 capacity units per file transferred.
Progress-Hosted Agent Activity ?Progress-hosted agents These agents are deployed and managed by the Automate MFT SaaS service for tasks involving publicly accessible endpoints. The service provisions the agent, executes the task, and cleans up the agent and temporary data afterward. Use Progress-hosted agents when all endpoints are publicly accessible and you prefer a fully cloud-managed, low-touch execution option.

?Progress-hosted data transfer is the combined monthly volume of data downloaded and uploaded. Each GB consumes 158 capacity units.
Files transferred ?Progress-hosted file transfers count each file processed using Progress-managed resources. For capacity, units are calculated from the higher of the uploaded or downloaded file counts. Consumes 0.13 capacity units per file transferred.
