March 30, 2012 0 Comments

I want to share some exciting news – the OpenEdge Tour is back and better than ever! The OpenEdge 11 Tour is an engaging way to present the architecture and overall capabilities of the OpenEdge platform.

Launched this week, the Tour has been completed revised and updated for OpenEdge 11 with over 90 minutes of brand new content covering “all things OpenEdge” such as:

  • OpenEdge ABL
  • OpenEdge RDBMS
  • Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge (formerly OpenEdge Architect)
  • OpenEdge Application Server
  • OpenEdge BPM
  • OpenEdge Multi-tenancy
  • OpenEdge Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
  • OpenEdge Management
  • OpenEdge Replication
  • OpenEdge Clients
  • Open Clients
  • Service Interfaces
  • SQL Clients
  • OpenEdge Dataservers
  • Security & Auditing
  • Actional Integration
  • Progress Arcade

While a few topics are in final preparation and should be ready over the next few weeks, the majority of the Tour is available today. The interactive “product map” makes navigation simple and easy.

To “take the Tour”, simply log in using your Progress ID and learn why we are confident that OpenEdge 11 is the complete, modern, future-proof application development platform to build dynamic, business process-enabled applications for secure deployment across any platform, any mobile device, and any Cloud. And don’t forget that OpenEdge helps to make your team 40% more productive and provides a 30% cost savings versus other application development platforms.

Special thanks go to our Knowledge Services group for their outstanding work to put the Tour together. Their commitment to the OpenEdge community is top notch!

Thanks and as always, please feel free to drop me a line and let me know what you think.
