While a dump and load can take more than 48 hours, when we use Pro2Pro to migrate the data, there is only a small downtime window to start the migration and the data can be replicated in 30 days. After it completes, there will be another short outage of around four hours to verify the data and complete the switch to the new database. This translates to only two outages of eight hours or less instead of 48 hours or more over a long weekend.
