There’s never a dull moment in the world of marketing and technology. Today’s best practice can quickly become outdated as new technologies redefine how customers live their daily lives. It wasn’t long ago that simply having a website was a major win. Now, companies are engaging customers across a multiple channels and screens as they race to discover new ways of delivering innovative experiences to their customers.

At the convergence of modern marketing and technology trends lies personalization. At this point, most marketers have some sort of familiarity with the concept of personalization and many understand why it’s so important. However, as I pointed out in my blog post from earlier this year, personalization is a significant challenge to many businesses. Despite 77% of marketers believing that real-time personalization of content is critical, 60% say they still struggle to implement and execute on the promise of personalization.

Hyper Personalized Experiences—The Way of the Future

And remember how I said there’s never a dull moment in the world of marketing and technology? That’s doubly the case when it comes to personalization. The bar is constantly rising when it comes to customer expectations, and as a result, personalization has become paramount. Content and customer experiences that aren’t tailored specifically to the user are increasingly being viewed as irrelevant. The era of Personalization 2.0 is coming—and it’s an age where hyper personalized customer experiences will reign supreme.
