In just 4 short days we will be kicking off our annual Exchange Conference with customers, partners and members of the Progress community from across the globe! The event will start with an orange, spark-filled social mixer as well as a showcase where attendees can meet and greet with Progress employees, customers, partners - the whole lot - and see what types of applications they've developed using Progress technologies!
If that's not good enough, in the following days we'll get to hear from this year's keynote speaker, Kerry Bailey, senior vice president, HP Cloud at Hewlett-Packard. Bailey has more than 25 years of experience in the technology sector. In his current role, he is responsible for applying HP's natural advantages in scale and distribution to extend HP’s customer and new market reach.
Prior to joining HP, Bailey was the senior vice president of Corporate and Business Development for Verizon Corporate. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing Verizon’s global growth strategies in emerging areas of the IT industry.
Previously, Bailey was the president and chief executive officer for Terremark, a Verizon company, where he developed the business model and executed the reverse integration of all Verizon’s data center, security and consulting services into Terremark to create a global growth platform to penetrate the adjacent market of IT services for Verizon.
Formerly, Bailey also worked with Verizon Business where he held a variety of roles including group president of Cloud Strategy and Services, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, senior vice president of Global Services, and vice president of Security Solutions.
Before joining Verizon Business, Bailey worked at Cybertrust as senior vice president of Global Services, where he was responsible for the development of product and service offerings, product management and IT development, and global operations. Cybertrust was acquired by Verizon Business in 2007.
In his keynote, Bailey will talk about how to develop a winning cloud strategy, specifically how to work with Progress and HP to do so! He will emphasize the importance of developing a solid cloud and/or hybrid strategy for your business. He will also outline what tools you need to take you to the next level, increase revenue and grow your business, as well as factors to consider when moving to the cloud including services and data compliance. Don't miss his session!
If you aren't able to attend, make sure you follow along with us @ProgressSW #PRGS14 for live updates during his presentation! We can't wait to see you all in Orlando!
