For years, Enterprise Architects have been dealing with the challenges of integrating data for cross line-of-business purposes. And any large organization now finds that Enterprise Data Management consumes a massive amount of resources – supported by a variety of technologies ranging from data warehouses and ETL tools, to SOA- and ESB-enabled Enterprise Application Integration, and now data lakes for the “Big Data” era. But we’re not getting the results we want. Instead of data serving the needs of people (i.e. the business), we are in a situation where more and more people are needed to service the data.
