The downstream team at Chevron has created a maintenance data hub with MarkLogic. The system, called RIMS (Reliability Information Management System), provides a single source for reporting on facility assets. RIMS ingests work order requests and logs from 5 different systems (30M documents) using Apache NiFi, and provides workers with a 360-view of equipment that speeds ticket monitoring, helps with cost-element reporting, and more.
This session reviews how the RIMS team used MarkLogic to make queries run 15x faster across 2M+ data points, and what enhancements they’ve implemented in the system to better leverage their “treasure trove of data.”
