Customer service is the name of success in the insurance industry, and a 360 view of comprehensive, up-to-date information is essential for companies to succeed. Unfortunately, some insurance carriers struggle to achieve this golden record with data spread across information silos due to multiple lines of business, mergers and acquisitions, and an application-centric view of data. In this session, we discuss how Erie Insurance took a new approach with MarkLogic in which they built an Operational Data Hub using a canonical data model that could evolve in order to efficiently address the challenges of data integration. This new approach not only helps Erie save time and money by avoiding typical ETL processes, it also helps Erie out-innovate their peers.
