We had a fantastic time at GEOINT last week! The GEOINT Symposium is the biggest intelligence event of the year, attracting the participation of representatives from Government, technology vendors, and systems integrators. MarkLogic was not only an Exhibitor at the event, but our Scott Stafford participated in the Lightning Talk panel entitled “Lighting the Path to Improved Interoperability.” It was also great to see the MarkLogic Enterprise NoSQL database platform powering demonstrations of multiple applications throughout the exhibit floor – by DIA, Raytheon, Boeing, and Esri.

From my perspective, it was exciting to see the degree of alignment between the solutions and capabilities MarkLogic brings to our customers, and the strategic areas of focus for our Government customers. This was highlighted by the speech given by NGA’s Director Long. MarkLogic capabilities enable strategic NGA initiatives such as Map of the World and Object Based Production, giving NGA the flexibility they need to provide on-demand GEOINT to their end users.

The conference also gave us the opportunity to catch up with many of our customers and partners. It’s an honor to be part of this geo-spatial intelligence community, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue providing domain leadership in this space, with innovative solutions based on MarkLogic technology.
