Gartner Positions Progress in Three Magic Quadrants

Gartner has positioned Progress in three Magic Quadrant reports in 2015 including aPaaS, Mobile Application Development Platforms and Web Content Management

The world is always evolving, and that has never been truer than in today’s technology landscape. This fact makes the relationship between a company and its technology partners that much more important. It’s the technology partner who’s charged with guiding companies through the minefield of innovation to reach business success on the other side. This is why we’re so gratified that Gartner has recognized Progress in three Magic Quadrant reports in 2015. It is a testament to how well Progress solutions help our customers achieve their unique business objectives.

Picked for Three Gartner MQ

As I also outlined in this blog post, Gartner selected us for three significant reports:

  • Enterprise Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS)
  • Mobile Application Development Platforms (MADP)
  • Web Content Management (WCM)

To be included in these highly regarded reports, Progress had to meet stringent guidelines. And to demonstrate movement over where we were positioned in the last report in each category, we had to show we improved our “Completeness of Vision” and “Ability to Execute.” Gartner reviews many factors to determine these, including usability, integration, productivity and collaboration, and more. The Progress positioning in 2015 reports shows that we improved on these values across the board, a testament to the hard work of our dedicated employees working on these products:

  •  aPaaS: Progress Pacific (Progress Rollbase, Telerik Platform, Modulus, Progress DataDirect)
  • MADP: Telerik Platform
  • WCM: Telerik Sitefinity CMS

Among a Select Few

There are hundreds of vendors in the many markets we serve, and Gartner does not include them all. They survey the landscape and select the companies demonstrating something special. Just to be included in these reports is an achievement, so I encourage you to take a moment to read the reports. Find out why Gartner thinks Progress is one of the very few vendors in each space worthy of including. Get a little peek into the great things happening here at Progress.
