Seth Meldon is a Principal Sales Engineer at Progress, focused on the Corticon Business Rules Engine, driving innovation through advanced decision automation, enterprise architecture and strategic technology integration. For over eight years, he has led technical pre-sales across North America, helping private organizations and state agencies across industries including healthcare, insurance, finance and U.S. government modernize legacy systems, automate complex business logic decisions and operational efficiency. Seth specializes in architecting solutions that translate intricate business requirements into transparent, explainable rule-based applications—from serverless deployments to offline-first mobile decisioning. 

Seth has extensive experience designing and deploying Corticon Decision Services across serverless environments (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions) and on-premises systems, integrating with diverse data sources such as MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and REST APIs.

A significant part of Seth's work supports strategic public sector IT initiatives, particularly in integrated eligibility (Medicaid and human services), education, and transportation. He liaises closely with systems integration partners, especially on public sector pursuits where Corticon is well-established.

Seth is passionate about translating intricate business requirements into tangible, high-impact technical solutions, including dynamic rule-driven applications, offline-first mobile architectures for decision support, and emerging RAG-LLM applications for explainable, AI-assisted decisioning. He regularly creates technical training materials, leads workshops, and writes tutorials exploring creative, real-world use cases for Corticon—from Medicaid eligibility to red tide monitoring.

Outside of client-facing work, Seth enjoys experimenting with home automation and hands-on technical projects, bringing the same curiosity for building elegant, rule-driven systems into his personal life.
