Colin Barry

Copywriter, Senior

Progress Software

A self-proclaimed "writer of stuff," Colin Barry has spent the majority of his career in the tech sector of Boston as a journalist and content marketer, writing about early-stage startups and consumer electronics. However, it is the combination of marketing and creative writing that draws him to the world of copywriting.

Joining Progress Software in 2021, Colin started as a copywriter for numerous different products and currently focuses on producing content for the Infrastructure Solutions portfolio, which includes Progress WhatsUp Gold, Progress Flowmon, Progress Opsmith, Progress Kemp LoadMaster and Progress Chef. He's contributed to many product launches, including Progress Chef Courier and Opsmith. In 2026, he was promoted to Senior Copywriter.

Outside of the office, Colin enjoys watching movies, playing video games, listening to music, cooking and, of course, creative writing.
