ADO.NET vNext August CTP goes live

Microsoft have, in the past few minutes announced their latest drop of the August CTP for ADO.NET vNext. Over the next few days or so, look lots more commentary on this, but for now here's a snap-shot of what you'll find:

  • Entity Data Model (EDM)

  • Client-views/mapping engine to map to and from store schemas
  • Query support over EDM schemas using Entity SQL and LINQ
  • LINQ... Linq to DataSet and Linq to Entities

I also expect to lots of chatter on this across the blogosphere, so stay tuned.
