Jennifer Ortiz

Executive Vice President, Marketing

As Executive Vice President of Marketing, Jennifer (Jenn) Ortiz leads all facets of a dynamic, high-producing global marketing organization. From corporate branding, analyst and public relations, to demand generation and field marketing, design, digital strategy, operations and events, Jenn’s vision is imprinted across every facet of the business. With so many moving parts, Jenn views herself as conducting a marketing symphony of talented professionals dedicated to amplifying Progress’ value to an ever-evolving global marketplace.

Jenn honed her craft at Progress over 15 years, filling her quiver with experiences from leadership roles in IT, Finance and Marketing Operations. This included serving as Senior Director of Marketing Operations, as well as working in IT for six years. Jenn draws on her well-rounded view of the Progress business to deliver measurable results for the company. From securing placement on analyst reports like Gartner Magic Quadrants, to stewarding the Progress brand into a globally recognized best employer, to creating a world-class M&A marketing strategy proven through two Progress acquisitions, Jenn and her team juggle it all. This excellence earned Jenn recognition as an Employer Branding Activator from BuiltIn in 2022. Prior to Progress, Jenn drove marketing functions in startup environments for an analyst firm and a tech trade show company.

Beyond leading a top-notch marketing organization, Jenn’s team co-founded and continues to champion Progress for Tomorrow, the company’s Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) program. It’s an initiative driving both company culture and tangible policy change aimed at delivering measurable results. She further serves as an executive sponsor for two Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): the LGBTQ+ ERG called Plus and Unidos en Progress, which supports our Latinx community.

In her free time, Jenn has a very active family life which includes a mix of youth basketball and softball. But she does take time for herself, often in the form of early morning runs where she communes with the peaceful outdoors before tackling the busy day ahead.

Jenn earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
