Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer, Bridget leads Progress Software’s global IT infrastructure, data architecture and security practices to advance the company’s strategic business objectives and operational excellence. This includes the responsible adoption and integration of AI across internal operations and workflows, driving the evaluation of emerging technologies while advancing governance frameworks for data, security and AI usage.
Bridget is an accomplished technology executive with more than 30 years of global leadership experience shaping enterprise technology strategy, business transformation, cybersecurity and AI innovation.
Prior to Progress, Bridget served as Chief Information and Business Transformation Officer at cybersecurity leader Rapid7, where she led global IT and operations. Previously, she held leadership roles as Chief Transformation Officer and CIO at Cerence, a leader in AI-powered virtual assistants for the automotive market, and as Vice President of Information Technology at Nuance Communications, a pioneer in conversational artificial intelligence and speech recognition.
Bridget began her career at Progress Software, advancing from software engineer to IT director over an 11-year tenure. This foundation provided deep expertise in enterprise application development, business systems and technology operations.
Bridget is a recipient of the 2021 Corporate BostonCIO of the Year ORBIE® Award, recognizing her exceptional technology leadership and contribution to the industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Providence College and an MBA in High Technology Management from Northeastern University.
