How has Progress OpenEdge help you solve your challenges?

We have about 450 software engineers engineering in Progress. OpenEdge has helped us immensely, especially when it comes to focusing on the technology. The syntax is nearly English, which makes it really easy to train people on the technology. It has done us a huge favor, let’s put it that way.
We have been with Progress for about 30 years—30 plus years—and we have seen things shift. Progress has moved us from old character-based, waterfall-style systems to object orientation, and now they are gently moving us toward the AI side.
It has been amazing to see how Progress has stayed with the technology and enabled us to focus on our line-of-business systems using their base technology, while they continue keeping us up to date. It has been really impressive.
