On average, about two papers are published every minute in the biomedical sciences. This deluge of literature makes it difficult for researchers to find and share relevant studies. AbbVie has developed an internal literature management and sharing tool, PubLab, which has several advantages over externally developed tools in terms of information security, content integration, and custom feature development. This session explains how the various features of the PubLab system leverage the capabilities of MarkLogic, and how AbbVie is enhancing the system with machine learning, NLP, visualization, and analytics – and new front ends to serve departments throughout the company.
