Create the configuration class
Before you create the settings contract, you must create custom Sitefinity CMS configuration class to save the values from the basic settings section.
For more information, see For developers: Create a new configuration.
To do this, perform the following:
- Create a class and name it
MyConfig.cs - Inside paste the following code:
C#
using System.Configuration; using Telerik.Sitefinity.Abstractions; using Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration; using Telerik.Sitefinity.Web.Configuration; namespace SitefinityWebApp.CustomSettings { [DescriptionResource(typeof(ConfigDescriptions), "MyConfig")] public class MyConfig : ConfigSection { [ConfigurationProperty("uiRandomVariableSettings")] [DescriptionResource(typeof(ConfigDescriptions), "UIMySettingsConfigDescriptions")] public virtual MyCustomSettingsUISettings UIRandomVariableSettings { get { return (MyCustomSettingsUISettings)base["uiRandomVariableSettings"]; } set { base["uiRandomVariableSettings"] = value; } } } }
The configuration file saves one setting - UIRandomVariableSettings. In the next article, you create this setting.
