Progress is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design and delivery of intuitive, user-centered experiences across our digital products, part of Progress Data Platform. Reporting to the UX Principal, you will drive hands-on design execution, mentor junior designers, and champion best practices in usability and accessibility. This role requires close collaboration with product and engineering teams to ensure our solutions are innovative, scalable, and aligned with both business and customer needs. You will translate complex requirements into clear workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs that advance our product vision.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end UX design for key product features and user journeys, ensuring solutions are intuitive, effective, and closely aligned with business and user goals.
- Partner with product managers and engineering teams to gather requirements, evaluate design possibilities, and strike a balance between user needs and technical feasibility.
- Develop comprehensive user flows, detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished high-fidelity designs, primarily utilizing Figma.
- Play an active role in evolving and maintaining the design system, creating and refining components to promote consistency throughout our digital products.
- Simplify complex workflows, transforming them into seamless and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall experience.
- Champion accessibility, usability, and user-centered design principles, advocating these best practices within cross-functional teams.
- Initiate and participate in user research and usability testing, using insights to validate and inform design decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Graphic Design, Product Design, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 4-6 years of experience in UX or product design.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design skills.
- Understanding of front-end technologies and how designs translate into development.
- Ability to create prototypes and validate ideas using modern design and prototyping tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain design rationale to cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in agile product teams.
- Familiarity with design systems, design tokens, or scalable UI patterns is a plus.
