IT Support Engineer Intern

If you have good communications skills and are willing to learn more about server and client operating systems, user access and identity management, industry hardware & software standards, then we would love to hear from you. You will be working alongside experienced colleagues on taking and understanding employees' feedback, objectives, and issues to help them resolve the root cause of the problem. 
 
What you will be doing most of the time:
  • Assist in managing user and computer accounts in a Microsoft environment 
  • Support in day-to-day operations and hardware lifecycle management 
  • Assist in maintaining and keeping track of hardware inventory 
  • Participate in the research and implementation of cutting-edge technologies 
  • Assist with providing IT support to all Progress employees worldwide via ServiceNow ticketing, email, phone and in-person 
  • Help with tracking, supporting, and remediating problems and requests 
  • Hands on exposure and support with troubleshooting both software and hardware issues 
  • Research and learn how to resolve software/hardware errors through vendors and technical documentation 
  • Contribute to various global IT related projects as assigned, providing support and assistance where needed.
 What to bring:
  • Operating systems troubleshooting skills (Windows and macOS)
  • Problem solving skills and broad technical curiosity
  • Ability to communicate clearly and positively through written and spoken English
Experience with the following would be an advantage:
  • Experience in the administration of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, Office365
  • Basic understanding of DHCP, DNS, IP subnetting, Wi-Fi technologies
  • Good hardware knowledge
