Progress is an experienced, trusted provider of products designed with customers in mind, so they can develop the applications they need, deploy where and how they want and manage it all safely and securely. We take pride in what we do, always valuing the whole person—at work and in life. Our diverse life experiences enrich our culture because people power progress. A Developer Advocate at Progress is a vocal proponent of our products and services, as well as a voice for the developer within our company.
Developer Advocates are often (but not always) current/former software or DevOps engineers looking to extend their reach in our professional community via public speaking engagements, generating written and video content, writing demo and educational code, and promoting Progress Chef as a whole. Developer Advocates must be able to speak intelligently and enthusiastically about DevOps and Chef technologies to audiences ranging from developers to executives, moving effortlessly between technical details and product strategy. They are experts in their technical field of focus and are masters of content creation.
Most importantly, a successful Developer Advocate is a passionate, charismatic person who lives for sharing knowledge and cares deeply about the success of other professionals across our industry.
