Course Description

This course teaches basic Progress OpenEdge database administration tasks. Initially, you get an overview of OpenEdge RDBMS architecture and of different OpenEdge database administration tools. Then, you learn to perform the following tasks:

  • Create an OpenEdge database.
  • Start and shutdown a database.
  • Manage extents of your database.
  • Backup and restore a database.
  • Implement roll-forward recovery using after-imaging.
  • Dump and load a database.

This course is available as Instructor-Led Training and online with a subscription to the Progress Education Community.

Prerequisites
