DBS Bank prevents fraudulent transactions with Progress Software
DBS Bank, one of the largest banks in Asia, has implemented a system that protects customers from incidents of fraud. Progress Software’ s Apama, a Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, works quietly in the background, enabling the bank to observe customers’ transactions in real-time. When patterns indicating fraud events are observed the bank’s fraud team is alerted enabling immediate action to be taken.

Enterprises should invest in mobile business application platforms amid increasing use of smartphones and tablets of individuals at work as well as customers. Stephen McNulty, Progress Software’s vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific and Japan, believes that investing in a mobile business application platform has become more important now given the adoption of smartphones and tablets.
