Automate MFT 1.23

What's in Automate MFT 1.23?

October 5th, 2026

Feature enhancements

Bulk actions for tasks

Added support for selecting multiple tasks and applying Auto Run changes in a single operation. Users can enable or disable Auto Run for multiple tasks directly from the Task List, reducing the time required to manage large task collections.

For more information, see Task list and activity view.

Configurable file stability checks

Added stability verification for Download steps to help prevent transferring files that are still being written. Automate MFT performs two scans separated by a configurable delay and downloads only files whose size or timestamp remains unchanged between scans.

For more information, see Source settings.

Role-based access control for folder creation

Users with Creator permissions can now create subfolders within folders they have access to. Users with Creator permissions for All Tasks can create folders at the root level.

Amazon S3 authentication enhancements

Extended Amazon S3 Access Key authentication with optional AWS IAM role assumption. Users can specify a role ARN to access S3 using temporary credentials from AWS STS while retaining full backward compatibility with existing Access Key authentication.

For more information, see S3 (AWS) authentication method.

Improved debug log responsiveness

Updated debug log processing to provide faster visibility into task activity. Debug logs are now available sooner and update periodically while tasks are running, making it easier to monitor task progress and troubleshoot long-running operations.

Alphabetical folder ordering

Folders are now displayed in alphabetical order throughout the user interface. Newly created or renamed folders automatically appear in the correct location.

Expanded SFTP compression support

Added support for standard zlib compression for SFTP connections, improving compatibility with servers that require this compression method.

Enhanced script editor search capabilities

Added search and replace functionality to the script editor, including support for regular-expression searches.

Authentication method rename enhancements

Authentication methods can now be renamed without re-entering existing credentials. Passwords are only required when authentication details are modified.
