Description
There are three themes in OpenEdge 11.1. The OpenEdge 11.1 release continues and extends the implementation of core capabilities for Multi-tenant Tables and OpenEdge Business Process Management that were added to OpenEdge in the 11.0 release. Another theme is to increase the availability of the OpenEdge database, reducing downtime due to maintenance. The last theme applies to features that fit into the Seven Keys to Success for SaaS Applications.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of Progress OpenEdge:
Each of the presented covers new and enhanced features for that area. You should be knowledgeable on the subject based on the title of the session: Developer Studio for OpenEdge, OpenEdge Explorer / OpenEdge Management, Database, SQL, ABL.
Knowledge of OpenEdge Security for the session on Security:
Knowledge is needed of how OpenEdge Security works, including using the Client Principal. Specific areas include:
- Client-Principal:Initialize( ) & :Primary-passphrase
- Configuring OpenEdge Domains
- Configuring AppServer startup userid/passwords
- Passing passwords: OpenEdge database connection –P; SQL server connect; SQLEXP; Proutil –P / -password; SETUSERID(); AppServer CONNECT passwords
Knowledge of Savvion for the session on OpenEdge BPM:
- Building Business Process Applications Using OpenEdge BPM (Required)
- Savvion courses on BPM Studio and SBM Server (Optional)
- Savvion documentation: BPM Studio (Developer Studio for Savvion) and SBM Server (Optional)
