Use Sage Pay payment processor

When you have chosen SagePay as a payment method's payment processor in Create payment methods, you should configure and run a successful test before you move to a live configuration.

Setting up a test configuration
  1. Sign up and register at https://applications.sagepay.com/apply.
    Take note of your Vendor name.

    NOTE: To use SagePay, you also need to set up a merchant account at http://www.sagepay.com.

  2. On the Create a payment method page, the one or more credit cards that you are going to accept on this account.
  3. Select the Mode: Test option.
  4. In URL , enter https://test.sagepay.com/Simulator/VSPDirectGateway.asp.
  5. In Vendor, enter the Vendor name provided by SagePay.
  6. In Timeout, enter 30000.
  7. Login to SagePay test simulator at https://test.sagepay.com/simulator.
  8. In the Account Administration section, list the IP addresses for the test and live servers that will be submitting transactions.
  9. Clear the option This payment method is active.
  10. Click Create this payment method.

Transitioning to a live configuration

 After you have tested SagePay and you are ready to move your website into production, configure the payment method to work in live mode, as follows:
  1. Select the Mode: live option.
  2. Change the URL to https://live.sagepay.com/gateway/service/vspdirect-register.vsp.
  3. Click Save Changes.
