Create payment methods

  1. On the main menu, choose Ecommerce » Payments methods.
    The Payments methods page opens.
  2. If you have multiple sites, use the dropdown menu in the upper left of the page to select the site where you want to create payments methods. For more on multiple sites, see Multisite: Manage multiple sites.
  3. When you are using multiple languages, choose the language in which you want to create the payments methods from the dropdown Languages list in the right sidebar.
    NOTE: You might not see the language list when creating your very first payment method, yet it will be available thereafter. For more information about languages, see Administration: Language settings.
  4. Click Create payment method.
    The Create a  payment method (language) page opens for the default language of the site.
  5. In the Name input field, enter a name for the payment method.
    For example, Credit Card or On Delivery.
  6. If you want to add a description such as contact names and support access, click under the Description header to open the enter box.
  7. Choose whether the Type of the payment method is online (internet connectivity to complete the transaction) or offline ( such as cash or check).
  8. For online payment, the following information is required:
    • Payment Processor
      The payment processor handles the online payments. Your selected payment processor will present relevant options that configure the parameters of your relationship with the provider.
  9. Enter the required selections and data for the selected payment processor.
