Use PayPal Payflow Pro payment processor

NOTE: You cannot configure the implementation of the PayPal provider to use Build Notation (BN) codes. 

1. Sign up and register a Payflow Pro test account at https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_payflow-gateway-overview-outside.

   NOTE: If you only need a test account, at the step where you enter credit card details, close the browser. The test account has been created.

   NOTE: For US accounts, you can use the same account for both testing and live transactions. When you are ready to activate the account, create login ID credentials, and then complete the account registration process.

2. Once registered, link to https://manager.paypal.com, and then enter the following:
• Partner
  Typically, it is PayPal but it could be different when you use a different bank.
• Merchant Login
  The username that you used to create the account
• User
  The same username you used to create the account
• Password
  The password you created for the account.

3. On the Create a payment method page, select the payment processor PayPal PayFlowPro.
4. Select the one or more credit cards that you are going to accept on this account.
5. Select the Test Mode option.
6. In URL, enter https://pilot-payflowpro.paypal.com
7. In Partner, enter the Partner ID provided by PayPal.
8. In Vendor, enter the username that you used to create the account.
9. In Username, enter the username that you used to create the account.
10. In Password, enter the password you created for the account.
11. In Timeout, enter 30000.
12. Choose an appropriate Processor from the list.
13. In Payment type, select one of the following:
    
    • Sale
       Puts funds directly into the merchant account.
    • Authorize
      Authorizes the credit card, but does not submit the payment for settlement until it is done manually. The authorization expires in 30 days.
      You can submit authorization-only transactions to verify the availability of funds on the customer’s credit card before finalizing the transaction. This transaction type can also be submitted if you do not currently have an item in stock or you want to review orders before shipping goods.
    • Authorize & Capture
      Authorizes the credit card, and, if approved, submits the payment for settlement.
14. Clear the option This payment method is active.
15. Click Create this payment method.

After you finish setting up Payflow Pro and your ecommerce website, you can place orders and then see a report on those test orders by logging in to https://manager.paypal.com, using the information in the e-mail you will receive from PayPal Payflow Pro.

After you have tested Payflow Pro and you are ready to move your website into production, configure the payment method to work in live mode, as follows:

1. Select the Mode: live option.
2. Click Save Changes.
