Progress would happily describe itself as a software firm focused on deploying mission-critical cognitive-first business applications. More tangibly perhaps, the firm’s current version of itself (and yes, it has been through a few reinventions) sees it operate as software company with a portfolio that includes tools for enterprise integration, data interoperability and application development.
