As an Information Developer/Technical Writer in India, you'll collaborate with a creative team to deliver documentation, videos, and training that enhances customer experience and ensures best-in-class solutions.
In this role you will:
- Design and develop user-facing technical content, including documentation, videos, and tutorials to support adoption and effective use of Progress technologies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical input, define content objectives, and validate content accuracy.
- Translate complex technical concepts and product features into accessible and engaging content tailored to various technical audiences.
- Follow established design guidelines, team style guides, and information architecture principles to ensure consistency, accessibility, and content reusability.
- Conduct peer reviews, content audits, and quality assurance checks to maintain high editorial and instructional standards.
- Apply user feedback, analytics, and learner performance data to improve and refine content continuously.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing scope, timelines, and quality to meet delivery targets.
- Participate in flexible development processes, including planning, team meetings, and track progress using Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, such as AI, to drive innovation in content.
- Implement content development best practices and tools.
Your background:
- Proven technical content development experience
- Experience with a Content Management System and other source management tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, Visual Studio Code, Markdown, IxiaSoft, and Dita are a plus
- Superior written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A technical B.A./B.S. degree or certification in Technical Writing or equivalent experience
- Advanced understanding of cloud services, Digital Experience platforms, and Content Management Systems (CMS); experience with Progress technologies is an advantage
- Ability to be a self-starter, assuming responsibility for setting and meeting project expectations and milestones with minimal supervision
- Ability to learn new tools and technology, innovate with AI tools to develop and deliver quality content
- Flexibility with superior writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
