MarkMail by MarkLogic Is No Longer Available

MarkMail—a search tool for mailing lists powered by Progress MarkLogic—has been discontinued as of August 7, 2023, and is permanently unavailable.

Mailing lists have declined in popularity over time, and the lists indexed by the MarkMail service gradually became less relevant to the MarkLogic developer community. As the technology no longer provides sufficient value to the community, the Progress MarkLogic product team has decided to retire MarkMail.

The MarkLogic product team is considering evolving MarkMail into a new offering that will better meet the modern needs and expectations of the developer community. Until then, you will not be able to access the application.

MarkMail was a free community-focused searchable message archive developed and hosted by the MarkLogic Server, prior to the company’s acquisition by Progress. It provided end users with powerful search and discovery tools for finding answers and understanding activity in popular mailing lists, such as those used by open-source projects.
