Customize your dashboard

Edit the dashboard

You can customize the content displayed on the Dashboard. You can delete and reorganize existing widgets and also add and configure new widgets. There is a dedicated Dashboard widget group containing widgets, which you use to customize the Dashboard page only. You cannot use these widgets on frontend pages. You can also add all other existing widgets to the Dashboard, such as Content widgets or Search widgets.

The Dashboard is a configurable backend page. To customize it, perform the following:

  1. In the main menu, click Administration » Backend Pages » OK, Continue.
  2. Expand Sitefinity CMS and Dashboard group pages.
  3. Click Dashboard page to open it for editing.
  4. Edit the dashboard the same way as you edit any other page.
The only difference is that you have dashboard-specific widgets.

Dashboard widgets

The Dashboard widgets group contains widgets that you can use only on the Dashboard. You cannot use these widgets on frontend pages.
For more information, see Dashboard and navigation.

The following widgets are part of the Dashboard widget group:
  • Recent items
Use this widget to display recently modified items and pages, filtered by owner, status, or content type.
  • System status
Use this widget to provide website administrators with a central hub for monitoring the status of key system components and receive email notifications about system errors
  • License information
  • Most visited content

Toggle different dashboards

To switch between different dashboard pages, change their order in the Backend Pages.
The first page under the group page is the one that opens by default.
