Download and install the Project Manager

PREREQUISITES: You must have certain database permissions on the machine where you want to install Sitefinity CMS.

To download Sitefinity CMS, perform the following:

1. Open https://www.progress.com/sitefinity-cms.
2. In the upper menu bar of the page, hover over your user account menu and click Telerik Your Account.
3. Login with your account credentials.
   If you do not have an account, you must create one.
4. On the Downloads page, click Sitefinity CMS.
5. Click 
6. You can download the following:
   • Official versions
     To download an official version, perform the following:
     1. Click the Versions tab.
     2. From the Version dropdown box, select the version that you want to download.
     3. Under Installation, you can download Sitefinity CMS installer that runs the installation wizard.
     4. Under Other Setup Files, you can download the Project Manager.zip file or other installation files, if you require any.
   • Beta versions
     To download a Beta version, click the Betas tab.
   • Patches
     To download patches of the latest Sitefinity CMS version, click the Patches tab.

Use the Setup Wizard

1. Run the downloaded installer (.msi file).
   Sitefinity Setup Wizard opens.
2. Read and accept the License agreement by clicking I Agree – Continue.
   The installation folder opens. You can change it by clicking Customize.
3. Click Install.
4. When the wizard completes the installation, click Finish.
   Sitefinity CMS is installed on your computer.
5. To create your first project, open the installation folder and run .

Run the Project Manager

To create your first project, open the file location and run .

RESULT: Sitefinity CMS Project Manager opens. You are ready to create your first project.

1. Open https://www.progress.com/sitefinity-cms and click Get Started » DOWNLOAD TRIAL.
   Register to Download Your Free Sitefinity Trial form opens.
2. Enter the required registration information and click Download.
   Once your Sitefinity trial had downloaded, you will receive an email with an activation key.
   
3. Run the downloaded .exe file.
   Progress Sitefinity Installer opens.
4. Enter the target installation folder, accept the License Agreement, and click NEXT.
5. Login with your Sitefinity CMS credentials or create an account.
6. Click INSTALL.
   When the installation finishes, a summary opens.
   Remember the provided credentials.
7. In the Project Manager that opens automatically, login with the provided credentials.
   The Dashboard of Sitefinity CMS opens.
