Create tags

To create a tag:

  1. On the main menu, click Content » Tags.
  2. When you are using multiple languages, choose the language in which you want to create this tag from the dropdown Languages list in the right sidebar.
    NOTE: You might not see the language list when creating your very first entry, yet it will be available thereafter. For more information about languages, see Administration: Language settings.
  3. On the Tags page, click Create a tag.
    The Create a tag page opens.
  4. Enter a unique name for the new tag.
  5. Optionally, click to add a description for the tag.
  6. Optionally, you can change the default URL of the tag by clicking Change , and then entering the preferred URL.
  7. In the Advanced section, you can do the following:
    • Enter synonyms for the tag so that you can filter content items by the tag name or its synonyms.
    • Change the default name used in the code by developers to refer to the tag, by clicking Change, and then entering a preferred unique value.
  8. When you are finished, either:
    • Click Create to create the tag, and return to the Tags page.
    • Click Create and add another to create the tag, and then clear the form to create another tag.
    • Click Back to Tags to discard the information, and return to the Tags page.
