Create product attributes

  1. On the main menu, choose Ecommerce» Attributes.
    The Attributes page opens.
  2. Click Create an attribute.
The Create an attribute page opens.
  3. Enter the name of the attribute.
    For example, Size.
  4. To make the attribute ready to be associated with products, select This attribute is active checkbox.
  5. In the Advanced section, you can change the automatically generated name for developers by clicking Change and entering the new name in the input field that appears.
This is the name of the attribute that is used by developers to refer to it in the code.
  6. Click Create this attribute.
The system creates the attribute,  and then opens the Create a value page for this attribute. Enter a unique value in this attribute's set of vales, then choose whether to add a description, make the value inactive, or change the default name used in code. Then click either Create a value to add the value and close the page, or Create and add another to add the value and then clear the page for your next value entry.
For more information, see Create values for a product attribute.
    • To go back to Attributes page without creating a value, click All attributes at the top of the page.
