Role-based permissions for widgets

When working with Sitefinity CMS, any user creating or editing a page can use all of enabled widgets in the toolbox. If you want to restrict certain widgets or an entire section, so that they are only available to users of a specific role, you can implement a toolbox filter.

You hide Web Forms widgets by creating a new toolbox item parameter, called DisallowedRoles, for any widget and setting a list of roles that do not have permission to use the specific widget.
