Link products to a tax class

Each product can be associated with a specific tax class. For more information, see For developers: Tax classes. For more information about the logic of applying taxes, see Tax calculation.

To associate a product with a tax class you must perform the following:

  1. Get instances of the following managers:
    • Catalog manager
    • Orders manager
  2. Get an instance of the product.
    For more information, see For developers: Query products.
  3. Get an instance of the tax class.
    For more information, see For developers: Query tax classes.
  4. Link the product to the tax class.
    To do this, set the TaxClassId property of the product to the ID of the tax class.
  5. Save the changes to the catalog manager.
